The first official trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has been released and it looks like the fourth film just might be the best.
Starring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, the action-packed trailer introduces fans to Penelope Cruz playing the swashbuckling Angelica.
The new film also features footage of fun with mermaids, zombies, Blackbeard, and a highly-anticipated reappearance by Keith Richards as Jack Sparrow's father.

Based on Tim Powers' pirate novel On Stranger Tides, the story follows Sparrow in pursuit of the elusive fountain of youth, which Blackbeard and his daughter are also seeking.

'They couldn’t stand him. They just couldn’t stand him,' he told Vanity Fair magazine.
'I think it was Michael Eisner, the head of Disney at the time, who was quoted as saying, "He’s ruining the movie."
And Depp wasn't above having a bit of fun at Disney's expense.

'Upper-echelon Disney-ites, going, What’s wrong with him? Is he, you know, like some kind of weird simpleton? Is he drunk? By the way, is he gay?... And so I actually told this woman who was the Disney-ite… "But didn’t you know that all my characters are gay?" Which really made her nervous.'
Depp has been nominated for a Golden Globe for best actor in a comedy/musical for The Tourist, despite the fact that it didn't do well at the box office.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is directed by Rob Marshall and will be realised in the U.S. on May 20, 2011.
