Stuck right now! Thank you very much! Victoria Beckham needs son Brooklyn's help to show her how to use a door

No escape: Victoria Beckham gets a little stuck as she attempts to leave a fashion boutique in central London earlier today

Victoria Beckham proved that she was not too Posh to push when she got stuck trying to get out of a swanky fashion boutique in London earlier today.

The former Spice Girl couldn't seem to work out that she had to pull a door handle to leave - probably not helped by wearing sunglasses despite a grey snow-filled sky outside.

However, as often is the way, it was the younger generation who stepped forward to help oldies confused with modern technology - and son Brooklyn, 11, helped his 36-year-old mother finally get to grips with the dastardly door.

Mother doesn't know best: Brooklyn grins as his mother fails to find her way out of the shop

Victoria finally made her exit, as a grinning Brooklyn looked on.

Not that we imagine style queen Victoria would have complained greatly about being stranded in clothes shop for a few more moments...

However, Victoria then faced her next arduous task - navigating icy city pavements in six inch high stiletto boots...

That's the way to do it: Brooklyn gives his mother a helping hand and shows her to pull rather than push

Out of your mind: Victoria manages to get out of the shop - but her next trick was tackling icy pavements in highrise stilettos

The Beckhams are currently back in the UK to spend Christmas with family and friends at their Hertfordshire mansion Beckingham Palace.

On Sunday night, Victoria was there to emotionally applaud her husband David as he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at BBC's Sports Personality of the Year.

Victoria wiped away a tear as she sat with Brooklyn and the couple's other two sons Romeo, eight and four-year-old Cruz, along with mother-in-law Sandra.

Handy: Still, there was always her security guard on hand to catch her if she slipped - and carry her bags too

A clearly emotional Beckham also found it difficult not to cry as he thanked Victoria and their sons for their support over the years.

He said: 'Of course, I want to thank my wife and my children. Not only has she given me three amazing boys but the support she's given me and she is truly and inspiration for me every single day.

'So Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz - thank you.'

The Beckhams then threw a fancy dress Christmas party at their home last night - perhaps the reason why Posh was sporting sunglasses in broad daylight today...

Guests seen arriving included Geri Halliwell and partner Henry Beckwith and Gordon Ramsay.
