Wrapped up warm: Lily Allen arrived at Matthew Freud's Christmas party with a mystery male friend

Lily Allen wrapped up warm in a winter coat and scarf for Matthew Freud's Christmas party last night, as her half-sister Sarah Owen revealed the singer will try for a baby again in the New Year.

The 25-year-old singer tragically lost her baby at six months in October, but Sarah insists it hasn't put her off attempting to start a family with boyfriend Sam Cooper again.

Sarah said: 'Losing the baby has totally devastated her - she's still grieving. Lily won't let this stop her. She is absolutely determined to be a mum.

Sarah also revealed that Lily, with whom she runs vintage clothing store Lucy In Disguise, has been taking some time away from London to spend time in the country with boyfriend Sam.

She told the Daily Record: 'Lily hasn't been in a great place, understandably, but she's getting there.

'At the moment, she is staying in the country with her boyfriend and doing wholesome things.'

On October 30 Lily tweeted 'Say a little prayer.' The next day her publicist announced that she had lost the baby with Sam, six months into her pregnancy.

A few days later Allen tweeted: 'Thank you for all your kind messages.

'I'm still very sick but the messages are helping me to be stronger. Thank you x x.'
But the following day the star was rushed to hospital and was treated for the blood condition septicaemia.
