But Katy Perry is clearly the forgiving kind as she and her new husband joined her best friend and her boyfriend for a double date in Madrid last night.
Katy, 26, and her 35-year-old new husband dined out at an Italian restaurant with Rihanna, 22, and baseball star Matt Kemp, 26, after last night's MTV Europe Music Awards in the Spanish capital.
Katy was still wearing the green sparkly feathered dress that she wore to collect her award for Best Video for her hit single California Gurls, as she and Brand arrived at the restaurant.
Rihanna also looked glamorous in a sparkly light blue dress that just skimmed her thighs as was cutaway at the back, as she was pictured getting in a car to whisk her off to dinner.
Brand also dressed for dinner in a dapper black suit, his white shirt buttoned low, but Kemp kept it more casual in trousers and an open-necked checked shirt.

The Barbados-born star was unable to attend the ceremony due to work commitments but as the maid of honour, she organised and hosted a bachelorette party for Katy in Las Vegas in September.
But according to Now magazine, Rihanna didn't actually want to be be maid of honour, because she doesn't think Russell is good enough for Katy.

She said she couldn't be a part of Katy's wedding since she absolutely doesn't approve. She just doesn't get the attraction.'
But whatever the reason for her missing her good friend's big day, the girls had obviously kissed and made-up in time for last night's awards.
And while Rihanna and Kemp went to great lengths not to be snapped together, it was the opposite for Katy and Brand, who were making their first public appearance together since they got married in India last month.
