Spot the difference: Michelle Bass dresses up like fellow Geordie Cheryl Cole from her X Factor performance of Promise This, which she performed two weeks ago
Just like Cheryl Cole, Michelle Bass is a proud Geordie.
But unlike the X Factor judge, the former Big Brother star has not enjoyed quite the same success in the singing stakes.
However, always game for a laugh, the reality star donned a red wig, microphone grasped in hand, as she recreated Cheryl's look from her performance of Promise This on the ITV show two weeks ago.
While Cheryl has attracted a lot of attention for apparently miming through parts of her live performances, Michelle's singing has also attracted attention.
She famously sang a Beyonce inspired version of the hymn Pie Jesu when she appeared in Big Brother back in 2004. She also sang the song again when she appeared on Ultimate Big Brother at the end of the summer.
Michelle, 29, who married her hypnotherapist boyfriend Steve McKeown, 31, six weeks ago, also released a single back in 2006 - Must Be The Music - but the dance track flopped.
Saucy: Michelle sports a replica white jacket, stripey stockings, a tutu and boots while grasping a microphone
In the pictures, taken in a photoshoot for new! magazine, Michelle sports a replica white jacket, stripey stockings, a tutu and boots.
But she admitted to being a little apprehensive to squeezing into the saucy get-up.
'I was a bit worried about the tights because I thought they were thigh-high socks and I can’t wear those. They’re so unflattering.'
Asked if she though there was a resemblance between herself and Cheryl she quipped: 'Why aye, man! It’s all in the accent. I don’t have dimples but I take it as a compliment if that’s the case.'
However despite mimicking her fellow Geordie, Michelle insisted she is not a diehard fan of the 27-year-old X Factor judge.
'I'm not a diehard fan, but I appreciate her music and her looks – she’s a trendsetter. Her new song’s pretty catchy, too,' she added.
