The popster who is riding high in the charts with her hit Whip My Hair arrived at Los Angeles Airport yesterday with her mum in tow sporting almost identical red boots.

Wearing black pants with a purple bandana wrapped around her thigh, a white military jacket and carrying a blackberry in her hand, Willow looked every inch the little diva.

She topped off her look with a pair of red suede boots which Jada copied, although her mum's boots were more grown up and had a stiletto heel as opposed to Willow's flats .

Charged with navigating her daughter's singing career, Jada headed for their flight in black pants and top with a long beige cardigan and Ferragamo sunglasses.

Willow has whipped her hair all the way up the charts, earning her the highest debut for a new artist on Billboard's Hot Digital Song Chart this year, coming in at the number 4 spot.

Talking on the Ellen DeGeneres show last week, Willow explained what her catchy tune is about.

'[It means] basically I'm me,' she confidently told the talk show host. 'I'm doing what I want to do.'

DeGeneres gave Willow a pre-emptive neck brace for all the whipping she's been doing lately as Willow shared that she has been singing 'pretty much my whole life'.

However, the youngster, who has appeared in Kit Kittredge: An American Girl and I Am Legend sees singing as just for 'pleasure.'

'I love acting. It fulfils my whole career,' said Smith. 'I was nervous,' she told DeGeneres. 'Like, uh, oh, what if I mess up?'

Willow has also voiced characters for cartoon movies and appeared on Nickelodeon's True Jackson, VP series.
